Our Leadership Team
Responsibilities: In his role as President and CEO, Steve has overall responsibility for ensuring that MACC CommonWealth fulfills its mission of supporting the unique missions of its nonprofit members, by providing outstanding management and administrative services in a collaborative framework.
Background: Prior to joining MACC CommonWealth in January 2013, Steve was a Group Vice President at Digital River, Inc. and before that was with Thrivent Financial for nine years, where he held executive positions in technology shared services, continuous improvement, and as Director, Human Resources and Financial Systems. Steve’s background also includes eight years in executive consulting with Accenture. Steve holds an MBA in Finance and an MHA in Health Services Administration from the University of Minnesota, and earlier earned a BS in Psychobiology from UCLA. Steve has served on the Boards of Directors at Pillsbury United Communities and Community Emergency Assistance Program (CEAP).
Responsibilities: Jason is responsible for managing the CommonWealth's human resource services, as well as managing human resources at the CommonWealth itself.
Background: Jason joined the MCW human resources team in 2010, after 16 years of prior human resources experience in both the private and governmental sectors. He is actively involved in the Twin Cities Human Resource Association Board of Directors, for which he has held multiple officer roles. In addition to his formal education (B.A., M.B.A.), Jason holds numerous professional certifications, including the Society for Human Resource Management's Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. Responsibilities: As a member of the leadership team, Shane manages three service areas for CommonWealth members: client data management system (ClientTrack), facilities, and mental health billing.
Background: Shane has fifteen years of experience with a variety of nonprofit organizations, including five years with The Family Partnership before joining the CommonWealth.
Responsibilities: Trisha works as an advocate and connecting point with CommonWealth members and prospective members- connecting them to the right mix of administrative services that allow an organization to focus on mission. She is working on member engagement, technology and communications, and training strategies that help members get the most out of their services.
Background: Trisha has spent all of her career in associations and capacity-building nonprofits in the Twin Cities community in roles ranging from program assistant to executive director. She has a MNPM (master’s degree in nonprofit management) and recently wrapped up two terms on the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) national board.
Responsibilities: As a member of the leadership team, Dan is responsible for managing all financial services for CommonWealth members.
Background: Dan has held a variety of nonprofit accounting management roles during his long career, including five years as Finance Director at Pillsbury United Communities before helping to launch the CommonWealth in 2006
